In my poorly written last post, you will see that I have started the keto diet. Im on week two and already broken all the rules but HEY, I lost three pounds!
So I probably should of started the diet this week because I was in Disney for Memorial Day Weekend. It was such a tease. I wanted all of my favorite Disney snacks.. BUT I STAYED STRONG.. Kinda.
The one thing I realized was a lot of the keto disney blogs, they were giving me the wrong information.. LIKE EATING A PECOS BILLS.. WHAT A MESS!! Sorry.. Anyways.. So I've decided to document my trips. I wont be on "strict keto" long but my brother will.
Anyways lets dive into it.
The lunch Menu at Le Cellier Steakhouse is a great BUT expensive Keto lunch! I must warn you, as soon as you sit down, tell them not to bring the bread because it was sooo tempting, I might of stole a piece. shhhh.... If you can resist the bread, everything is pretty easy sailing. I ordered a salad to share with my mom. The Iceberg Wedge has avocado ranch, applewood-smoked bacon, lemon-pepper cucumbers, toy box tomatoes, edamame, and smokey blue cheese. I’m trying to stay low carb because everything is still tempting. I gave my mom the tomatoes and edamame just to be safe.
As my main course, I had the USDA Prime New York Strip. It comes with escargots à la bourguignonne, brioche custard, asparagus, and bercy butter. I was able to substitute the custard with green beans. It was literally brioche “bread pudding” type bread. Very odd and my mom said it wasn’t worth it anyways. I would just like to point out that the steak is HUGE. Deff something you can share and just order an extra side but soooooo good.
