I recently visited Universal Studios and found some keto friendly eats so I thought I'd also share them..
Universal Studios:
Monsters Café: SUPER KETO-ish.
- Obviously you cannot eat any of the BBQ items. I ordered the half roasted with double broccoli since we cannot eat the potatoes and a side cobb salad. In their condiment bar they have packets of parmesan cheese.
StarBucks: Okay
Man, it is hard to resist all the sweets at amusement parks.. My sister n law actually went down with Ben n Jerrys.. RIP DEIT.
-Anyways, I needed something sweet since I saw all my non keto family eating ice cream and pretzels. So I went to Starbucks to grab a pick me up. The cashier was super helpful. All I said was "I am on a weird diet," she quickly responded with "Is it keto?" A lot of the refreshments at Starbucks have hidden ingredients, so whenever ordering anything be sure careful. She suggested I get an ice coffee with sugar free vanilla and a little whipping cream instead of almond milk. It was a lot better with the whipping cream since I usually get it with almond milk. Make sure to only ask for a little or you wont taste the coffee!
Volcano Bay:
Bambu: Great
I would first like to say that Volcano Bay is AMAZING!! The park is super pretty and there are endless activities.
-So my brother and I got a refillable $20 cup and were able to get diet sodas at the coke freestyle. To eat I got the chicken sandwich which had grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and avocado mayo. NO BUN OF COURSE! I also shared a grilled chicken Caesar with my brother. My other brother got the cobb salad that looked really good as well. The restaurant also consisted of hamburgers and a mahi sandwich (that was battered so that is a no go!)
-We were able to bring almonds into the park so we were munching on those throughout the day!
Islands of Adventure:
TBH
More Keto Reviews will be added when I return to the parks. Go check out my Disney Keto post!
